Website Overview
View allRunning More Than One Website
You can host multiple, fully independent websites (different content, theme, and domain) from the same Quickenerp database.
Creating a New Website
- Go to Website > Configuration > Settings → the website switcher (top of the Website app) → + New Website.
- Set its own Domain, Company (if multi-company), default Language, and theme.
- Pages, menus, and products can be scoped to one website or shared across all of them, depending on how you configure each record's Website field.
Multi-Language
- Install additional languages in Settings > Translations, then enable them for the website in Website > Configuration > Settings > Languages.
- A language switcher appears automatically in the header.
- Translate each page's content via the Translate button in Edit mode — untranslated pages fall back to the default language rather than showing blank.
Domain & SSL
Point your domain's DNS to the server, then set it under Website > Configuration > Settings > Domain. HTTPS/SSL is typically handled at the reverse-proxy level (e.g. Let's Encrypt on the hosting infrastructure) rather than inside Quickenerp itself.
Cookies & Privacy Notices
Enable the Cookies Bar in Website Settings if your jurisdiction requires cookie consent (e.g. GDPR). Link a Privacy Policy page from the footer menu — a blank page can be created and filled in like any other page.
SEO Configuration
Global SEO Settings
Go to Website > Configuration > Settings > SEO.
- Default Meta Title – Fallback for pages without custom SEO.
- Default Meta Description – Site-wide fallback.
- Sitemap – Auto-generate /sitemap.xml.
- Robots.txt – Customize /robots.txt.
- Google Analytics – Enter your GA4 Measurement ID.
- Google Search Console – Verify site ownership.
- Facebook Pixel – Enter Pixel ID for conversion tracking.
Per-Page SEO
Each page has its own SEO settings in Page Options:
- SEO Title – Appears in search results (60–70 chars).
- Meta Description – Search snippet (150–160 chars).
- Image Alt Tags – For all images (accessibility + SEO).
- URL Slug – Customize the page path.
- Canonical URL – Prevent duplicate content.
Website Traffic Analytics
Beyond external tools like Google Analytics, Website > Reporting > Traffic shows built-in visit counts, top pages, and referrer sources without needing a third-party account — a quick option for a first look before wiring up GA4.
Website Forms
Adding a Form
- In Edit mode, drag the Form snippet onto the page.
- Pre-built form templates: Contact Us, Newsletter Signup, Request a Quote.
- Configure form fields (name, email, phone, message, dropdown).
- Set Submit Action:
- Create a CRM Lead.
- Send an Email.
- Redirect to a Thank You page.
- Subscribe to a mailing list.
Spam Protection
Go to Website > Configuration > Settings > Website Forms.
- Enable reCAPTCHA (requires Google reCAPTCHA keys).
- Set Email Domain Blacklist to block spam domains.
- Enable Honeypot – Hidden field bots fill but humans don't.
Form Submissions
Go to Website > Configuration > Forms. View all submissions with timestamps and field values. Export to CSV. Each submission can create a CRM lead automatically.
Live Chat Widget
Add the Live Chat snippet or enable it site-wide in Website Settings to let visitors start a real-time conversation instead of filling a form — see the Discuss course's "Setting Up Live Chat" article for operator-side configuration.
