Introduction to SMS Messaging
Text Messages From Any Record
SMS in Quickenerp works the same way as email — you can send one manually from a contact/order/invoice, use a saved Template with dynamic placeholders, or trigger it automatically from an Automated Action.
Sending Options
| Provider | Notes |
|---|---|
| Built-in IAP credits | Pay-as-you-go via Quickenerp's own SMS gateway — simplest to set up, no separate account needed. |
| Twilio | Connect your own Twilio account for direct billing and more carrier/country control. |
| SMS Gate | An alternative gateway integration for regions/providers Twilio doesn't cover well. |
SMS Statuses
- In Queue → Processing → Sent → Delivered.
- Error – with a failure reason (e.g. missing/invalid number, credit exhausted).
- Cancelled.
